On the occasion of the month of May, Magdalena Aulina begins a popular Month of Mary, a Marian activity that she will carry out throughout her life and that will mark the Work.

Magdalena Aulina visits the house of San Adrián for the third and final time.

1936

Banyoles. Birthplace of Magdalena Aulina. For the first time, a nightingale sang in the garden of the house, all night without stopping. It drew the attention of the neighborhood. It sang for thirty-three consecutive nights, until the month of June.

1958

New mission in Valencia. To spread devotion to the Most Holy Virgin, with the Basilica of Our Lady of the Forsaken —where the Confraternity bearing her name is based— as the center of this outreach.

Solemn opening of the Centenary Year marking the beginning of the apostolic and social activities of Magdalena Aulina, in Banyoles.

The life of Magdalena Aulina is fading. Her condition does not improve. She is given the Last Sacraments. She died the following day at three in the afternoon.

Barcelona. Laying of the first stone of the ‘Most Holy Trinity’ building.

A highly significant date for the entire Institute. The Lord calls our beloved Mother Magdalena Aulina to Himself at three in the afternoon. A new stage of fidelity to her spiritual legacy begins.

Autographed Apostolic Blessing of His Holiness Pope Pius XII.

Barcelona. The Passionist Fathers carry the heart of Saint Gemma Galgani through several cities of Spain. In Barcelona it comes to our house in Sarriá. Magdalena Aulina receives it, accompanied by a large number of Operarias and Friends.

Filomena Crous, Superior General, returns from America, where she has spent four months, after establishing the Operarias in Puerto Rico. Cf. 18 January 1980.

First Exhibition and Sale of the works made by the Ladies of the Family Club ‘Casa Nostra’, to raise funds in support of the Institute’s projects. Cf. 4 June 1971.

Barcelona. The ‘Most Holy Trinity’ building is inaugurated. Cf. 15 May 1959.

Barcelona. Funeral of Magdalena Aulina. Funeral rites at the Parish of Saint Vincent of Sarriá and burial in the Southwest Cemetery (Montjuich).

Barcelona. Celebration of the day dedicated to Magdalena Aulina at the Shrine of Saint Gemma and, in the afternoon, for the first time at the Salesian Fathers.

Barcelona. The monument to Magdalena Aulina, erected in the garden of the house in Sarriá, is inaugurated.

First Communion of Magdalena Aulina at the Parish of Santa Maria dels Turers.

Barcelona. Celebration of the day dedicated to Magdalena Aulina, in the ‘15 May’ building.

The Archbishop of Barcelona, Mons. Ricardo M. Carles, appoints Fr. Lorenzo Galmés, O.P., Ecclesiastical Notary for the Cause of Magdalena Aulina.

Banyoles. Closing of the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Institute. Presided over by His Eminence Péricles Felici.

Banyoles. Inauguration of the childcare center.

Banyoles. The Municipal Council, in full session, agrees to give the Foundress’s name to one of its streets. It will be called ‘Avenida Magdalena Aulina’.

Banyoles. In view of the large participation of people, the conclusion of the Month of Mary is celebrated in the Plaza del Carmen.
