H.E. Dr. José Cartañá, Bishop of Girona, dies. Before his death, the Prelate had erected the Work as a Secular Institute in his Diocese.

1952

Rome. Magdalena Aulina attends the erection of the chapel in the house on Via della Conciliazione.

1939

The Bishop of Girona rejects from Magdalena Aulina the document containing her profession of faith and explanations, and excludes her and her collaborators from the reception of the sacraments. Cf. 3 July 1939.

Puerto Rico. Foundation of a new house in Carolina, in the Parish of Santa Gema.

Magdalena Aulina’s father, Narciso Aulina Font, dies in the house in Banyoles.

Funes. Foundation of another house, the third in Navarre. It was closed in 1954.

Barcelona. Consecration of the high altar of the new chapel.

Banyoles. The first General Assembly of the Institute is held.

The Institute organizes the first International Youth Meeting in Madrid.

Closure of the IX General Assembly in Madrid.

Closure of the VIII General Assembly in Cantonigròs (Barcelona).

The Bishop of Vic, Apostolic Administrator of the Vacant See of Girona, initiates a judicial canonical process concerning the events and actions of Magdalena Aulina. She accepts the sentence, providing explanations. Cf. 25 June 1934.

The apostolate begins in the Oratorio delle Mantellate in Trastevere.

1955

Decree of the Holy Office removing Magdalena Aulina from her position and prohibiting the admission of new members into the Pious Union. The Operarias request a review of the process. Cf. 7 September 1955.

Chéroy – Yonne (France). Last foundation accepted by Magdalena Aulina: a residence-home for the elderly and apostolic activities in the parishes of neighboring villages.

1976

Sarzana, Italy. The Most Reverend Father Agatángelo de Langasco, of holy memory, who had been our great Apostolic Visitor, passes away.

1918

Aurelia Aulina writes to Dr. Carbó, spiritual father of Magdalena Aulina, informing him of Magdalena’s grave condition, afflicted by extremely high fevers that do not subside. Dr. Carbó replies, telling her to say to Magdalena that she should ask Jesus for an extension of life, as he will dedicate himself to Gema’s cause. She is to ask for healing. The Lord heard the prayer. Magdalena Aulina recovered.
